This school year, the Grade 5 students had a treat!
I found two new gems that they absolutely loved and all of these are part of Google’s Be Internet Awesome curriculum. Lessons were made highly interactive through slides made in Pear Deck. All students were given the same question and each learner was given an opportunity to write his or her own response. They wrote their opinion in their own pace and in their own way. They had to opportunity to choose to type their answer in a traditional way or draw them with gusto.
Another discovery was the Interland – an action-packed online game. This provided students a platform where they can learn the basics of digital safety. They learned how to create strong passwords, protect themselves from phishers and practice good digital citizenship by not only being Bystanders but Upstanders.
Here are some of their photos:
Until next time!
