Dear CISM Parents,

As the school year draws to a close,  our minds and hearts are filled to the brim.  It has been a great year!  We have learned much and shared experiences that will long remain with us in the years to come.  The strength of our community and passion to make the school a wonderful place of learning makes CISM truly special.

To families and friends who are leaving for new places and adventures, we wish you all the best.

The first day of school begins on August 1, 2018.  Until then, enjoy the summer break and see you all soon!

Best,

Rica

Dear CISM Parents,

Welcome to the month of April!

As we head into the final stretch of the school year, we constantly remind ourselves that there are still two months of school left, and busy months they are indeed!  The teachers are currently providing more exciting opportunities for students to enrich their school experience through school events, class trips, and classroom activities.  The focus continues to be on student engagement and creating lessons and activities that provide opportunities for them to communicate and collaborate, be creative, solve problems, and think critically.

Moreover, Chinese International School Manila has launched its school wide Anti-Bullying Campaign last April 10.  This campaign shines a spotlight on creating an atmosphere of kindness and respect through various activities happening during the months of April and May.

Shrek the Musical is just around the corner!  Once again, I would like to take this opportunity to invite each and everyone of you to watch this year’s CISM play tomorrow, April 21, 7 PM, in RCBC Plaza.

Marching Away From the Month of March

Dear CISM Parents,

Easter break is just around the corner and we are at the end of a hectic but productive third quarter.  I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate all the Early Years and Elementary students and faculty for the stupendous work this quarter.  The beginning of 2018 has been very busy with academics, performances, and enrichment activities.

To wrap up the quarter, we will be having our annual Easter celebration next Friday, March 23, which also happens to be our last day of school before the Easter break.  Please note that classes will resume on April 2, Monday.

We wish all of you a wonderful Easter break to look forward to!

February Fever

Dear CISM Parents,

As we progress this second semester, the Early Years and Elementary School Division collectively strives to provide the best opportunities and experiences for learning, each and every day.  Students and teachers are seen to be very much engaged in different activities inside and outside the four walls of every classroom.
Regarding February events, the entire Chinese International School Manila community will be having its annual 100 Days of School on the 8th, Sports Day 2 on the 9th, and the Chinese New Year Celebration on the 15th.  Details of these events have been sent out through your respective homeroom teachers.  `
Also taking place during the month is our library’s Book Lovers Week from the 12th to the 14th.  Different activities that would foster passion and love for reading and for books will happen during library classes.

In closing, we want to thank you for your diligence in having your children at school on time and well prepared for learning each day.  As always, thank you for supporting the wonderful teaching and learning taking place here at CISM.

Welcome 2018!

Dear CISM Parents,
Happy New Year to everyone!  I hope you had a relaxing holiday break and were able to spend some quality time with family and friends.  It feels great to be back and to see a lot of familiar faces along the floors and hallways of Chinese International School Manila.  To the entire Early Years and Elementary School community and to those students and parents who are new, welcome!
In our first week of 2018, the students are transitioning well into their classes and academic routines.  Teachers are planning lessons and activities to immerse them in the different subject areas.  To further help your children get back into full swing, we wish to ask your support in re-establishing their routines.  Ensuring that they come to school on-time each morning will help them get off to a great start each morning.  It is always important for students to arrive on time, as homeroom periods provide smooth transitions to learning.

In closing, we continue to be grateful and thankful for all that you do in supporting our students and teachers.  It is our desire to make the second half of the school year excellent for all.
