We cannot believe that November is almost here; the months have flown by! As we begin our Mid-Term Break, we hope that you will have a restful and fun week spent with family and friends. Happy Halloween!
The Early Years and Elementary School students have had a fun-filled first two months of school. Everyone’s been busy learning new things and settling into the routines of school.
As a new month is about to begin, here are some dates to look forward to in the month of October
Welcome to Chinese International School Manila! We hope you had a fantastic break with your families! We are very happy to see both old and new faces as we begin the school year! I am Mylene Pastor, this year’s EY/ES Director. I am also handling Music classes from Nursery to Grade 1. With me is Cristina Lagdameo as the EY/ES Deputy Director. She is also the EY Visual Arts and Digital Literacy Teacher. Rica Miranda serves as our EY/ES Managing Director as well as Managing Director for an affiliate school.
We are very excited at the thought of a promising year ahead, and we look forward to working in partnership with you as we help develop your children’s potential. This year will be filled with a multitude of fun activities aimed at helping your children become independent, responsible, critical, and eager learners. “Be better than yourself,” as William Faulkner said, is a goal that we would like to share with your children. It is a daily journey of knowing, accepting and celebrating their uniqueness — both their strengths and weaknesses, and carrying on towards gaining self-confidence and self-improvement. It is not about comparing themselves to others, thus becoming limited to what they think they cannot do, but about being motivated in giving their 100% in everything they do.
With this in mind, let us begin this school year with much enthusiasm for a lot of fun learning!
