From all of us at the High School:
Enjoy this season of JOY! See you in 2014!!!
Over the past three weeks, our high school delegates to the BEIGIN 2013 conference in Beijing, China, have been spearheading the planning for the Service Learning activities and projects of the Upper School, Grades 6-12, for the next semester. We are providing you with a table of the different teacher and student groups and the Global Issue Focus that each one has been assigned.
Please note that the students signed up for the group that they felt they could best contribute their time and talents for. The same is true for the Upper School teachers.
This week, from Wednesday through Friday, all Upper School students from Grades 6-12 will be sitting their end-of-term examinations for these CORE subjects: English; Math; Social Studies; Sciences; Chinese Mandarin.
Monday and Tuesday are Review Days for these examinations.
Semester final exams are written for this semester and they are worth 20% of the final grade high school students receive on their Powerschool end-of-term reports. As such, we encourage parents to closely supervise their children’s review over the next days. Please make sure that study conditions at home are conducive to the child’s review of subject matter to be assessed.
