As you might have seen in our last post, we had quite a number of activities lined up for February And while we were busy executing all the plans we had, the students were even busier hurriedly taking part in all of it!
For example, for this Post-It! activity, students were very eager to share the name/s of book characters they would want to meet if given the chance.
We also had Who Said That? — another interactive activity where students paired lines from literary classics with their respective book titles.
First two participants who were able to pair everything correctly got to take home backpacks from National Book Store!
Towards mid-February, in celebration of Chinese New Year, we had red lantern riddles—
These were such a big hit among the students! You could see they really enjoyed exercising their brains and beating each other to it
And finally, for Upper School students specifically, we had Book Tasting: a whole period that each class got to spend inside the library sampling books from different genres with the purpose of helping them discover reads outside their comfort zone, and awakening new interests.
We had a fancy-looking buffet (of books, of course!), complete with soft instrumental bossa nova playing in the background to make it even more ambient.
Definitely something we’d like to repeat!! Until next time!
