April is Poetry Month and here at CISM, we celebrated it one bright and early Wednesday morning with performances by our very own faculty and staff.
The Upper School Library transformed into an Open Mic Poetry Cafe, hosting an event called EVOKE, which means to elicit a response; to stir up, awaken—precisely what we hoped the spoken poetry and song numbers would do.
Everyone was wearing pink to honor the school declaring that particular Wednesday, April 11, as the International Day of Pink: symbolizing our stand against bullying, and rude and disrespectful behavior.
This event once again proved that time flies when you’re having fun. 45 minutes was waaay too short for all our talented faculty and staff! Keep an eye out for round two!
