“Don’t cry because it’s over, smile because it happened.” – Dr.Seuss
Kicking off the event, we had the Lower School Library doors decorated as The Lorax and some Truffula Trees.
We also put on display some of Dr.Seuss’ works.
The library prepared various activities and games for the kids to enjoy.
Puppet shows are always fun to watch and in our own little ways, we came up with a simple puppet show featuring Dr. Seuss’ work “Ten Apples Up On Top.”
Students seemed to have enjoyed counting apples.
To let them experience apples up on top of them too, Early Years got to stick pieces of cutout red circles (representing apples!) on top of a photo of their faces, and got as much circles as there are letters in their first names.
While Elementary Students played a cup relay game wherein their ability to balance, to persevere and to work with their teammates were put to the test. Students were competitive during the game but in the end, everyone sure had fun.
To cap it off, everybody had the chance to have their pictures taken using our giant Dr.Seuss polaroid.
We hope this was not just a week- long MOMENT for the kids but a MEMORY of a lifetime.
