Pre-K Mandarin – Mr. Maverick Arenas

Pre-K students focused on the topic “Daily routine” this month. We learned different words about the topics such as, 洗澡、洗手、洗头、洗头发、洗脸、洗脚、起床、上学、刷牙、回家、睡觉、吃早饭、放学. Every Mandarin class, students were tasked to identify Chinese characters, and read aloud words presented in class. Different sentence patterns are also introduced in class to help them apply and use these words in a variety of situations.

Please find below, the summary of lessons we’ve taken up this month. You are welcome to use this as a reference for reviewing Chinese lessons in preparation for future lessons and for upcoming assessments:

Pre-K Chinese Class (Countries and Nationality)

Pre-K Mandarin – Mr. Maverick Arenas

Pre-k students focused on the topic “Countries and Nationalities” this month. We learned different words about the topics such as,中国人、菲律宾人、印度人、韩国人、以色列人、瑞典人、美国人、日本人、德国人. Every Mandarin class, students were tasked to identify Chinese characters, and read aloud words presented in class. They were also given opportunity to use these words in class by using sentence patterns and situations discussed in class.

Pre-K Mandarin – Mr. Maverick Arenas

 

Pre-Kindergarten students focused on the topic “Body parts” this month. We learned different words about body parts such as, 头、头发、眼睛、耳朵、鼻子、嘴、口、手、肩膀、膝盖、脚. Every Mandarin class, students were tasked to identify Chinese characters, and read aloud words presented in class. They were also given opportunity to describe their body parts in class by using sentence patterns discussed in class.
