Pre-K Week 14

 

 

Pre-Kindergarten Chinese – Mr. Arenas

Week 14: November 9-13 2015

 

This week, students in Pre-K learned Chinese vocabularies about family members. Students are asked to identify pictures and flash cards about the topic. Teacher asked all students to participate in games to help them remember the Chinese words. We all did activities that will help them identify Chinese characters for certain words. Some simple sentences such as, 我爱妈妈/爸爸;他是爸爸/哥哥/爷爷/弟弟。;她是妈妈/奶奶/姐姐/妹妹 were also introduced this week. Students are being guided to pronounce these sentences correctly and accurately.

Pre-K Week 10-13

 

 

Pre-Kindergarten Chinese – Mr. Arenas

Week 10-13: October 5-30 2015

 

This week, students in Pre-K learned Chinese vocabularies about body parts and family members. Students are given the chance to identify the body parts through pictures for the first few days. After they were able to identify most of the pictures, Chinese characters for these vocabularies were presented in class. Students were assigned to read the Chinese characters with proper pronunciation and intonation (Teacher guided). Students also learned to recite simple sentences using the words taken up in class. Pictures of basic family members were presented in the class and students were asked to identify them.
