Buy & Sell With 2ML!

Come one, come all!

Come one, come all!

How exciting it was for both Grade 2 MP and ML classes to do something together!  The objective of this fun activity was for children to understand and experience how basic economic principles work, particularly the law of supply and demand.  Children were divided into small groups that came up with goods/service that they would sell to the other class.  Each group was given $150 to spend on buying from the other class.  The group with the most money earned in their respective classes, wins!

Lower the price just a little bit to encourage people to buy, yet earn good money at the same time

Lowering the price just a little bit to encourage people to buy, yet still earn good money

Children realized that they needed to lower the prices of their goods/service to make more people buy from them.  Most groups brought down their prices to $1.  However, one group was careful enough to lower the price and did it little by little.  This group earned the most money and won!
