Teamwork on “Family” unit

Grade 11 Mandarin Ab Initio students showed teamwork as they accomplish their task. Teacher gave students a small paper printed with different family members in Chinese characters. As a group, they needed to create a Chinese family tree as their pre-assessment task. Ten minutes were given to each group to finish the task. Both groups were able to finish the tasks; however, it has been observed from the the activity that they are not familiar with the other family members titles. Additional activities will be given to students in order to reach mastery of the concept.
